Scheduling and Service Manager

Found Recruitment Solutions is currently partnered with a world leading engineering company based in West Sussex. This market leading organisation specialises in the manufacture of high-precision electromagnetic devices for the science and healthcare sectors.

The Test, Installation and Service department is the flagship section of the business and we’re currently recruiting for an experienced, highly motivated, and dynamic individual to take on a key management role within the group.

The role is structured on a Monday to Friday basis, generally speaking, from 08:30 – 17:00 on site with some light travel expectations and the occasional out of hours call required.

Key tasks of the Scheduling and Service Manager:

• Day to day management of the highly skilled team, ensuring motivation and efficiencies along with assigning tasks and responsibilities
• To oversee the creation of the schedule to ensure that all obligations are met, liaison across the key site stakeholders, the team of engineers and the equipment manufacturers
• Providing a flexible approach to the ongoing and changing requirements, showcasing good anticipation and management of the future workload
• Maintaining and ensuring adequate provision of resources; equipment and staff

We’re looking for a seasoned and well-equipped leader of people, the role of Scheduling and Service Manager will require a hands-on approach from someone with a good technical mindset:

• Encourage development of the team through training and coaching, putting development plans in place for company employees
• Actively promote proactive problem solving while balancing the requirement to escalate to technical authorities
• Provide exceptional customer service and act as the primary point of contact for customers and potential customers to provide advice and solutions
• Have strong commercial acumen whilst providing accurate costings for jobs and quotations
• Excellent attention to detail is required to ensure accurate records are made of testing and service work
• Sustainability initiatives are key and someone with a good understanding of the latest trends would be of real value
