Specification Technologist | Food & Nutrition Manufacturing | Hands-On Role with Progression
Location: Medway, Kent
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (with flexibility available)

They’re now seeking a Specification Technologist to join their expanding technical team and play a key role in ensuring product quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Creating, updating and approving product specifications for both new and existing products.
• Ensuring specifications meet all customer, legal and internal standards.
• Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to gather and verify raw material data.
• Supporting NPD projects with accurate and timely technical input.
• Reviewing artwork, labels and pack information to ensure full compliance.
• Assisting with customer technical queries, audits and documentation requests.
• Staying informed of changing food legislation and retailer requirements.

Your Background

• Experience as a Specification Technologist or in a similar technical role within food manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of retailer specification systems and food labelling legislation.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisation.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proactive, adaptable and motivated to progress in a growing FMCG environment.
