Location: Kent

Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday – 22:00 to 06:00

Salary: Up to £45,000

 

We are working with a fast-growing food business in Kent currently going through an exciting period of growth and operational investment.

 

Supplying food and drink products to restaurants, bakeries and hospitality groups across the region, the business has expanded rapidly in recent years and continues to invest heavily in its people, facilities and operational capability.

 

They are now looking for a Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the night shift operation, playing a key role in driving performance, efficiency and standards across the warehouse.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

This role offers real autonomy. You will lead the night shift warehouse operation, ensuring picking and dispatch runs smoothly and orders are ready for delivery each morning.

 

Leading the team across ambient, chilled and frozen areas, you will drive productivity, accuracy and service levels while identifying opportunities to improve processes and raise operational standards.

 

You’ll work closely with the Operations Director and senior leadership team, giving you real influence as the business continues to grow.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Managing the night shift warehouse operation
• Leading and developing a team of warehouse staff and Team Leaders
• Ensuring orders are picked, packed and ready for dispatch by 06:00
• Running shift briefings and setting priorities for the team
• Managing rotas, holidays and absence
• Monitoring picking and dispatch performance
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency

Your Background

 

We are looking for a confident warehouse leader who enjoys taking ownership, building strong teams and improving processes.

 

You will likely be working as a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or Senior Team Leader within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

 

Experience we are looking for:

• Background in food, drink or similar distribution environments
• Experience leading teams within a picking and dispatch operation
• Strong organisation, communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable working permanent night shifts

 

Experience across ambient, chilled or frozen warehouse environments would be beneficial.
