CNC Machinist (CAM / Multi-Axis)

Location: West Sussex
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (40 hours)
Pay: Up to £22.00 per hour

We are working with a well-established, high-precision engineering business in West Sussex who are looking to add an experienced CNC Machinist to their machine shop.

This is not a standard CNC role. The position sits within a highly skilled, hands-on environment where machinists are responsible for programming, setting and running their own work on complex components.

The company operates in a fast-paced, high-value manufacturing setting, producing precision parts where attention to detail and accuracy are critical.

The Role

• Programming, setting and operating CNC machines

• Working with multi-axis machinery (including 5-axis)

• Producing complex, high-precision components

• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

• Adjusting programs and setups to maintain quality and accuracy

• Working independently on the shop floor while contributing to a skilled team

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (not just operator level)

• Hands-on experience with programming, setting and running machines

• Exposure to 5-axis machining (or strong multi-axis experience)

• Comfortable working to tight tolerances and high standards

• Strong problem-solving ability on the shop floor

• Confident working independently and taking ownership of jobs
